The children are confident in role playing the shopping and the supermarket routines and ideas. They are now organising themselves sharing their tasks and responsibilities.
They are also confident in operating tills and handling pretend coins and paper money. The over 3 year old children use words and verbal communication in their dialogues and discussions. The 2 year olds are developing non-verbal ways of expressing and communicating
their imaginative ideas. They all work collaboratively well in their shopping and market symbolic play. At the block corner, the children showed creativity and initiative in building and constructing their own versions of shops and a supermarket. They like
singing their action shopping songs and they pair up in teams of two and go shopping. The teachers are closely working with the children supporting them and tuning in with the children in their play performances.
